If you are a customer using OPC UA to collect data, and you’ve set up the entire job but your data is not collecting, here are a few items to check on in order to make sure the data collects properly.
1. The device is online and you are able to telnet to port 4840 on the device.
2. You can connect to the UA server (use a program like UA Expert to do this).
3. The read address(es) match between UA Expert and ei3. Each character must match exactly, or there will be trouble collecting the data.
4. Check to see if the data server logs show any data. You can also check the Remote Monitoring tab under Data Snapshot to see if there is current data coming in to ei3. If this is not current or no points appear, there is a problem getting the data points into ei3.
5. Ensure that the handler file does not show any insert errors.
6. Try deleting all files on the amphion just in case this was a box that was reused. If a box is being reused and it still contains traces of the old data collection it will interfere with any other collection jobs.
You can clear an amphion using the function available under Admin Tools > Machines by clicking the icon.
You can only use this function is the collection job status is Stopped or Inactive.© 2024 ei3 Corporation. Content of this web page is proprietary to ei3 Corporation.
