Successful data collection requires that a machine and its PLC have no duplicate data point tag names entered. If the tags do not match between the PLC and the ei3 database, or if duplicates exist, the data collection job will fail.
In most cases, the system will prevent duplicate tags from being entered. However, it is still possible that a duplicate tag name is entered, and if this does occur, you will need to edit the datapoint to be unique.
